How long does a 'Pop Star Party' last for?
Each Pop Star Party lasts for 2 hours.
When do you accept bookings for a 'Pop Star Party'?
At present we are taking bookings 7 days a week and we have four bookable sessions each day.
The first session is from: 9.30am – 11.30 am
The Second Session is from: 12noon - 2pm
The Third Session is from: 2.30pm – 4.30pm
And the final session of the day: 5pm - 7pm
We will be looking into extending our hours in the future for 'Pop Star Party' so keep checking back for further details. Later times are available on request for Hen/Stag Parties.
Is there a minimum and maximum age for Pop Star Party?
The minimum age is 6 years old and we do ask that children are accompanied by a responsible adult. For a party of up to eight children we ask that two adults be present, For up to twelve children three adults must be present. We do ask that children and teenagers up to the age of 17 years old have a responsible adult present at the recording studio due to the nature of the business and equipment used. Health and safety is our utmost priority. There is no maximum age limit, you can be 70 years old or 100 years old and still take on the full 'Pop Star' experience if you choose to. Music and song has no age limit, it is open to all.
Can you please confirm the booking fee for a 'Pop Star Party'?
If you are booking for one person then the minimum booking fee is £100. If you are booking for up to four people the minimum booking fee is £100 (applies up to four people). If you are booking for up to 8 people then the cost is £130 and for up to 10 people the cost would be £150 for example.
A 50% non refundable deposit is payable in advance to confirm the booking and the balance is payable in cash on the day of the 'Pop Star Party'. (This also applies to business and corporate bookings)
What does the booking include?
The booking includes a tour of Barking Dog Studios, a run through of what to expect during your 'Pop Star' experience from using the mics to vocal warm up to recording your song to seeing it being mixed and edited before being transferred onto CD. Refreshments of soft drinks, tea, coffee and a snack buffet is provided. (Please note we are not able to provide alcohol based drinks with the buffet as we are not licensed to do so.) You and your guests will also receive your own copy of the CD containing the song you've recorded together. This will be presented in a CD case with the name of the party and the song recorded on the cover to take home with you.
How do I make payment?
You can make payment for your 'Pop Star Party' in a number of ways:
cheque, postal order, Cash or direct bank transfer (contact for details)
For business or corporate bookings we do not give payment terms.
Everyone receives a receipt for the 'Pop Star Party' booking
What is the maximum number of people you can book in for one 'Pop Star Party'?
The maximum number would be twelve people.
Do you issue 'Pop Star Party' vouchers?
No. Though a great gift idea, vouchers tend to have a limited shelf life and how many of us have had vouchers to spend but simply put them away to use at a later date and find they have gone past their sell by date? We feel that once a 'Pop Star Party' is booked it will be used. What we do provide is a 'Popstar Party Invitation' Template that can be used to invite your Party Guests. The Party invite template can be adapted to add 'Happy Birthday', 'Happy Anniversary', 'Surprise!' or other occasion on the top of the invite if you wish. Just let us know.
How do I book my 'Pop Star Party'?
There are three ways of doing this. You can phone Ade on: 01454 273626 or 07970 719252 to make a telephone booking. You can send him an e-mail at: ade@barkingdogstudios.co.uk We endeavor to get back to you the same day to confirm your booking.
Once I've made the booking what happens next?
We will confirm in writing by post or by e-mail that your 'Pop Star Party' is booked. It will state the date and time of the party plus any additional details associated with the booking. It will also include a lyric sheet and mp3 of your chosen backing track that will be recorded on the day plus details on where to find us. All you need to do is make sure you and your party guests arrive on the day and time booked for your 'Pop Star Party'.
What happens if we have to cancel our 'Pop Star Party'?
We do ask for a 50% deposit to confirm your booking and this is non refundable.
Are your staff checked by the Criminal Reference Bureau?
Yes they are. As we cater for a number of children and young adult 'Pop Star Party's' our staff are CRB checked and approved.
Can we take photos at our 'Pop Star Party'?
Yes you can. And we'd also like to include some of your photos on our web site if you e-mail us copies. They should not be any larger than 72 pixels per inch and 6" x 4" in picture size. We can feature them in your own party file on our web page.
Can we film/video our 'Pop Star Party'?
Yes you can. And we'd also like to include some videos on our web site if you e-mail us a copy.
Can we book 'Pop Star Party' to record more than one song?
No due to the time of the Party, however, if you would like to record more songs and would like to extend your Party time we can do this for you at an additional cost.
Can we choose the song we want to record?
Yes you can. We have a wide range of songs in our music library. Just let us know your choice of song. If by any chance we don't have the backing track in our catalogue we can locate it for you in time for your 'Pop Star Party'. We cover most music styles from pop, rock, folk and rap to opera, musicals and heavy metal. Don't be afraid to ask.
