Bristol's First and Best - "Pop Star Party" is based at Barking Dog Studios in Westerleigh, North Bristol, which is close to the M4 and M5 motorways. It is a professional music rehearsal and recording studio consisting of three fully equipped rooms known as 'kennels'. Kennel One is the recording/mixing control room. Kennels Two and Three are the rehearsal/recording studios. It is owned and run by Ade Pridham, a musician of thirty years experience and a recording engineer and producer for seven years. In fact he eats, sleeps and breathes music!
Barking Dog Studios is open seven days a week and used by a number of bands and artists either for music rehearsal - preparing for live shows, tours or trying out new songs - or for recording demos, singles and albums. They travel from all over the South West and even London to use the facilities on offer and bands include "Mesh", "Jagged", "The Canes", "Jaguar", "The Groundhogs", "Glambusters", and not forgetting GWR's 'Rock School' that Barking Dog Studios was closely associated with.
Ade's first 'Pop Star Party' came about for his niece. He wanted something different for her birthday something that would surprise her and sure enough it did. "She loved it. Along with her friends it was great fun, in the recording studio singing her favourite song. It was a great success" he said. "From that party I got a booking from one of her party guests and then another followed. The rest they say is history".
Ade continued: "My belief is that music is fun. To produce music, to sing a song is fun. I wanted to give people the opportunity to experience the chance of recording a song in a professional recording studio. To have their 'Pop Star' moment that under normal circumstances they would not really experience, their very own fifteen minutes of fame whether as a solo singer or sharing it with a group of friends no matter what their age. It's a great way to treat yourself, your family and your friends, even your work colleagues to something different and and a little bit special. And at the end of it you leave the studio with your very own copy of your souvenir CD."
All our staff are CRB checked and approved and we also have a First Aider on the premises. We have full liability insurance.
We are taking bookings for 'Pop Star Party' 7 days a week, however, on a Saturday and Sunday is when most party's and celebrations seem to happen. Prices start at £15 per person for a two hour 'Pop Star Party.'
